Janet Henderson Cagley

Chief Financial Officer

Janet has been working for Henderson since the age of 6, when she was given the task of addressing brochures. She quickly moved on from addressing brochures to running tickets at auction, and even to delivering water to customers. During high school, Janet managed payroll, accounts payable, sales tax, vehicle titles, and consignor settlements. Whatever needed to be done, Janet was ready and willing.

By the time she was 18, Janet was well-seasoned in the Auction Industry. Other than a few years spent running her own medical equipment business in Mississippi, Janet has been fully focused on her family's business.

She rejoined her father and brother in 1992 at Henderson Auctions and has served as Chief Financial Officer for the past 19 years. During her time as CFO, Janet has played a vital role in obtaining and maintaining a large sum of available funds for direct purchases, advances to consignors, and package guarantees. Janet also acts as liaison between the the executive team and the board of investors. Her drive and approachable demeanor serve well to make her a critical asset to the company.

Recently, Janet has been very instrumental in the purchase of over 25,000 Travel Trailers, Mobile Homes, and Park Model Homes from the General Services Administration. She has been involved in every stage of the acquisition. Her duties include but are not limited to presentations, gathering investors, planning for transit, scheduling auctions, dealing with wholesale buyers, and developing engineering systems to track the units. Janet collaborates with her father and brother to plan auctions, set dates, and determine budgets for all aspects of the business.

During her free time, Janet loves to spend time with her husband and the 5 children they share.
